2 The Basics
2.1 Intended Use
The CMS network transfers information between DPM Central Station and other networked
devices. It also allows information transfer between several CMS. Network connections
consist of hardwired network cables and/or WLAN connections. CMS can be used for remote
monitor management, storing, printing, reviewing or processing of information from
networked devices, and it is operated by medical personnel in hospitals or medical
institutions.
WARNING
z The device is intended for use only by clinical professionals or under their
guidance. It must only be used by persons who have received adequate training
in its use. Anyone unauthorized or untrained must not perform any operation
on it.
2.2 Application Scope of the Manual
For the central monitoring system connecting monitors which use “CMS network protocol”or
connecting defibrilator, the following sections of this manual may not be applicable.
